Anderson exits board clerk post

MOHAVE COUNTY – Ginny Anderson is stepping down as Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for Mohave County. She explained her exit in her Feb. 12 resignation letter.

“I have accepted a position which will allow me to be closer to family,” Anderson said in her communication to the five board members and copied to County Manager Sam Elters. She cited privacy concerns in declining to shine light on residency and her new job.

Human Resource records show Anderson began county employment as an office assistant in Feb., 2007. She held positions within the Clerk’s office since July, 2012 before she was elevated to Clerk of the Board in July, 2014.

Anderson’s last day of county employment will be March 8.

“It has been a privilege to have served as your clerk,” her resignation letter said. “Thank you for the opportunities for professional and personal development that has been provided during my tenure…I wish only the best for Mohave County.”
