KINGMAN – On Dec 4, Kingman Medical Regional Center (KRMC) hosted its Annual Holiday Open House, at the Main Campus on Stockton Hill Road.

“It’s our fourth year doing this annual event, says Scott Kern, Director of Community Relations and Development. “It kicks off the Christmas season for the hospital and the community.” As Kern describes it, the Holiday Open House is the manifestation of various of the best of both worlds of fun and entertainment.

“We have the fun, candy, and games. The Mohave Community Orchestra volunteered their time for the event. Fun for the children, but with the responsibility of being educational, as well.”

Children had an opportunity to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, and also learned about health professionals of the hospital. More than 20 departments of KRMC were represented at the open house with tables and displays. Physical therapist Caitlin Garfield showcased a model representation of the spine. Barbara Merritt was armed with a bowl of candy, but also provided guests with important information about Medicare wellness. “The average attendance across the four years is 400,” said Ben McGlothlin, KRMC’s Public Relations Specialist. “With about 450 this year, it’s good that the community can learn about the new services – neurology and telemedicine.

Though currently basking in the spirit of Christmas, KRMC is preparing for its annual Senior Health Fair. The Senior Health Fair is free and open to the public. There will be free health screenings, immunizations, and flu shots. The Senior Health Fair is scheduled for Jan 25 2020
