LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – No one was injured in a weekend helicopter crash in Lake Havasu City. Public safety personnel responded at 10:14 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18.

“The first arriving fire company reported a military helicopter that had made a crash landing in the parking lot area of the Windsor launch ramp,” said Community Engagement Officer Jerri Bracamonte. “The two pilots were able to self-extricate themselves and walk away from the downed helicopter and were later transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center for evaluation.’’

Crews used firefighting foam due to a fuel leak. Bracamonte said the cause of the crash is under investigation by military personnel.
