A great turnout at the Residential Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

BULLHEAD CITY – On Saturday, November 2, the Bullhead Fire Department partnered with Mohave County Environmental Quality holding the Residential Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. The event is held bi-annually in the fall and spring, offering residents a safe way to dispose of unwanted household hazardous materials from their homes. A total of 267 vehicles went through the line at Saturday’s event, dropping off items such as old paint, used motor oil, old gasoline, batteries, and old tires. Removing these items from your home not only makes a safer living environment for you and your family, but it also creates a safer environment for first responders. The Mohave Accelerated Learning Center Key Club (MALC) assisted during the event.
