KINGMAN, Ariz. – A methamphetamine seizure in Lake Havasu City could be resolved in a plea agreement entered in Kingman on Sept. 25. Robert Williams, 58, pleaded guilty to a charge reduced to attempted transportation of dangerous drugs for sale.
Deputy Mohave County Attorney Carlos Lopez told Superior Court judge Derek Carlisle that a vehicle driven by Williams was pulled over in the 3000 block of Irwin Lane on June 8. He said an inventory of the vehicle netted discovery and confiscation of about one-half ounce of meth.
Lopez said the drugs totaling 15.1 grams were packaged in varying increments in six different baggies.
The plea deal dismisses possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of prescription drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and another charge involving knowing display of fictitious plates.
Williams is eligible for probation but could also get up to 3.5 years in prison at a sentencing hearing scheduled Oct. 26.
