LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – A Lake Havasu City resident told a sentencing judge that the stress of a divorce resulted in stupidity on his part for a hit-and-run traffic accident on the 4th of July, 2025. Justin Sue, 43, reportedly fled on foot after crashing his silver Honda Accord into a parked vehicle and a residential garage in the 3300 block of Palo Verde Boulevard.
Police estimated damage in excess of $13,000. Sue was not arrested until Feb. 26 and he is convicted of criminal damage in a plea agreement.
Sue told Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle on Sept. 3 that he wanted “make people whole” by paying restitution for the property damage and move on with his life.
Judge Carlisle placed Sue on probation for two years and ordered him to serve 14 days in jail.
