Dear Editor,
Hello my name is Rebecca. I am a single mother of two young boys (7 and 1). I am reaching out today about exposing predators and predator protectors such as landlord’s and charities, due to not taking any action when children could be in potential danger anywhere not just where I live.
I recently came into a situation where my one-year-old son was in the same parking lot as a sex offender. I live in an apartment that is less then 900 feet from an elementary school. I asked them to leave, and it blew up. I got accused of hitting a lady with a hammer (had police come to where I live over a huge lie), because I did not assault anyone with a hammer and did not go to jail. The predator protector got even more mad and called CPS on me, slandering my name, calling me a bad mother, etc. (again all lies). Today I had to go to the Arizona Department of Child Safety and justify myself and how I am a good mother. The system is corrupt, by the graces of God the case was dismissed! And my boys are safe at home with me!
I’ve struggled to get any help (I’m not asking in no way, I just want to be heard), and I’ve watched people take advantage! if anyone has seen the struggle they know!
As a young mother I just want to encourage people to come together for their communities, the children and anyone silently struggling!
In my small town we have had more suicides, and domestic violence situations, now than I’ve seen in my adult years.
I saw on Facebook they had a child predator operation in Snowflake, AZ. I am asking today if we can get that operation going in Kingman, and see if the community genuinely come together for this. I was bashed and slandered all on the internet for something I didn’t even do and I am ready to tell my side.
I have lived where I am now going on almost two years. I’ve seen drugs, sex offenders, drama all in the same complex that only has two children that live here. Someone needs to do something!
Many single mothers, disabled, elderly and vets are struggling daily to get help, yet the druggies and ones who are not changing their lives get more help than those who genuinely need it.
I want to be the voice nobody hears. I believe this happened for a reason. It not only humbled me it changed my perspective on certain situations. I will not let this bring me down. And it didn’t. I didn’t go to jail, no charges. False CPS case.
So let’s be that voice.
Rebecca hill
