KINGMAN, Ariz. – More than 132 racers competed in Saturday’s Monsoon Madness 5K Race at White Cliffs Middle School in Kingman on August 14. An overall male and female award was presented along with first, second and third place ribbons, to winners in each age group, male and female.

Dan Kuch of Lake Havasu City was the overall male winner, finishing in just 16.58 minutes. Julianna DiCarlo, 15, a student at Kingman Academy of Learning, was the overall female winner, beating her mother Irene DiCarlo, also in the race, but not her father J. R. Dicarlo. Julianna said her goal was to one day beat her father and become a marathon runner.
Overall Finisher Male Master was Derek Hill; Overall Finisher Female Master was Erika Washington; Overall Finisher KUSD Alumni was Adan Cervantes.

First place winners, male and female, by age category were:
Age 12 and Under: Ace Larson, Maddie Taylor;
Age 13-15: Seth Pease, Calley Wolsey;
Age 16-18: Samuel Novak, Samantha Batty;
Age 19-29: Adam Cervantes, Emma Sargant;
Age 30-39: Ben Taylor, Heather Carter;
Age 40-49: J.R. Dicarlo, Irene Dicarlo;
Age 50-59: Eric Nolan, Hylie Barton;
Age 60 and over: Gary Halbert, Joan Abraham.
