Bullhead police to host 30th annual Bicycle Safety Rodeo on March 7

BULLHEAD CITY — The 30th Annual Carrie Edgmon Bicycle Safety Rodeo will return next month. The event will be held on Saturday, March 7th from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Bullhead City Walmart parking lot, 2840 Highway 95. The Bicycle Safety Rodeo is sponsored by the Bullhead City Police Department, Bullhead City Fire Department, Walmart and Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.
A safety course will be set up for children to ride and test their bicycle safety skills. Officers will be on hand to teach the rules of the road and help guide participants through the course. Children are encouraged to bring their own bikes to receive free bicycle registration.
Bike Rodeo participants will receive a free bicycle inspection and tune-up by CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) volunteers. Special thanks to the Bullhead City Morning Kiwanis for donating the bike parts. Loaner bikes will be available and all participants will enter a prize drawing to win a new bike!
Children will also receive a free helmet, provided by WARMC, and fitted by Fire Department personnel highlighting the importance of wearing a properly fitted and buckled helmet to help prevent serious injuries in the event of a fall or crash.
