Pedestrian killed in Bullhead vehicle collision

A pedestrian was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle in Bullhead City. Police responded to the area of Highway 95 and Fifth Street at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

“It was reported that an 83-year-old male pedestrian from New York was attempting to cross Highway 95, traveling east to west, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle,” said Emily Fromelt, public information officer for the police department. A second vehicle was unable to avoid the injured pedestrian and struck him a second time.”

Fromelt said the driver of the second vehicle rendered aid before paramedics arrived. The man whose name is withheld pending notification of kin died following transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.

“Police believe the first vehicle involved is a white vehicle, possibly a newer SUV or minivan, which left the scene,” Fromelt said.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or incident is urged to contact the Bullhead City police department (928-763-1999).
