Bullhead woman enters guilty plea for drug related charges

Interior of courtroom

BULLHEAD CITY — A plea agreement has finally been entered to resolve a Bullhead City woman’s drug case, following two previous failures. The first plea deal for Brei Zagorski, 39, was rejected in April when she tried to plead guilty to a sales related charge but insisted more than five ounces of methamphetamine was strictly for personal use.

Another change of plea hearing scheduled October 9 did not occur because Zagorsky failed to attend the proceeding. She pleaded guilty Monday, October 27 to the possession of dangerous drugs for sale charge.

Prosecutor Phillip Delgado told Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle that Zagorsky was driving a vehicle that was pulled over on June 25 in the area of Highway 95 and East Marble Canyon Drive. He said a key on her key ring accessed the glove box from which 5.6-ounces of meth was seized by officers.

Delgado said passenger and co-defendant Christopher Beals, 36, Bullhead City, admitted picking up the drugs in California. He has already been sentenced to five years in prison after previously entering his own plea deal.

Zagorsky is eligible for supervised probation, but she can also get up to five years in prison when sentenced December 19.
