Fiesta Football Field ribbon cutting set for March 15

BULLHEAD CITY  – The City of Bullhead City and its community partners will be kicking off a celebration for the completion of the new Fiesta Football Field at Firebird Stadium in Rotary Park on Friday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend to help celebrate this wonderful new field in our community.

The Fiesta Football Field in Firebird Stadium has been graciously donated by Fiesta Bowl Charites and the BHHS Legacy Foundation. The field was originally used at the 30th Annual Cheez-IT Bowl that was played at Chase Stadium in Phoenix on December 26, 2018. The new field improvements also include a custom electronic scoreboard and repairs to bleachers, goalposts and a new sound system. Other groups that have played a huge part in bringing this project together were AYSO, The Boys and Girls Club of the Colorado River and The City of Bullhead City. The event will include speeches, entertainment by local cheerleaders and a football game played by Firebird Football players.

“The community support for this project has been great,” City Manager Toby Cotter said. “We could not have completed this project without the Legacy Foundation, Fiesta Bowl Charities and our local sports organizations. We hope many of our residents can come out for this joyous occasion.”
