‘Remember Me’ candle lighting slated

KINGMAN – For the Luv of Paws domestic animal rescue and sanctuary will be hosting a ‘Remember Me’ candle lighting ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Paws-itively Charming Thift Shoppe, 204 N. Fourth St.

For the Luv of Paws is united with animal lovers and animal welfare organizations from around the world to participate in the 7th Annual Remember Me Thursday candle lighting ceremony in remembrance of millions of pets who lost their lives without the benefit of a loving home and to shine a light on pets who are still waiting to be adopted. Kingman area residents are encouraged to participate in this public event and to opt to adopt and reduce the many pets euthanized each year.

Volunteers will be on hand for the social hour; candles and refreshments will be served. Bandanas and treat bags will be provided for all pets who attend. The opening address and lighting of the first candle will be facilitated by Kingman Mayor Jen Miles.
