Kingman man injured in police shooting has died

KINGMAN — The Kingman man wounded in an April 30 officer-involved shooting flown to Las Vegas for treatment of his injuries has died. The death of Jeremy Muse, 36, is confirmed by the Kingman Police Department and the Mohave County Attorney’s Office.

Time and location and other specifics regarding the passing of Muse are not yet available. The Department of Public Safety is conducting the investigation of the officer-involved shooting and has not yet provided any information.

Authorities reported Muse held his girlfriend and her kids captive for a number of days in Kingman before she escaped the residence and drew gunfire as he chased her down the street. An hour later, Muse allegedly shot and killed a Golden Valley woman during a random encounter at her home.

Muse later led officers on a pursuit from the Kingman Airport back into the city before he crashed into another vehicle and was shot when he reportedly exited his vehicle while pointing a weapon at officers.
