A weekend of rodeo at the Mohave County Fairgrounds in Kingman

KINGMAN – Kingsmen will be presenting the 40th annual PRCA Rodeo at the Mohave County Fairgrounds in Kingman. The rodeo is also the culmination of other events as well.

Prior to the weekend rodeo, there will be two nights of Mutton Busting and Steer Riding, which is free to all spectators. Mutton Bustin’ is for children aged 3-7 who are under 60lbs. Steer Riding is for children aged 8-14 who are under 140lbs. This two-night event begins on Wednesday, April 9, at 6 p.m. and concludes on Thursday, April 10. The top ten contenders for each night will then compete in the main weekend rodeo. 

The main rodeo event begins on Saturday, April 12, and continues on Sunday. The doors for the Pro-Rodeo event open at noon on both days, and the main show starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for Adults, $15 for Seniors, Veterans, and First Responders, and $10 for children. Children six and younger are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at https://kingsmenrodeo.org/

The winner of the Rodeo Royalty contest that took place on March 29 will also be announced on Sunday. A Rodeo Queen will be announced for the 16-23 age bracket, and a Rodeo Teen Queen will be announced for the 12-15 age bracket.

The “Kingsmen” are a group of local businessmen dedicated to the preservation of our area’s ranching and rodeo western heritage.
