Nonprofit to host skate party event

havasu skate night

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Havasu Skates will be bringing in some springtime fun this weekend for their upcoming St. Patrick’s Day themed skate party. Havasu Skates is a nonprofit 501c3 organization based in Lake Havasu City since 2019.
They host free monthly events thanks to donations and sponsorships from the local businesses. Members are all volunteers that also love hosting birthday parties thanks to neighborhood businesses like Smallcakes, who sponsor the roller-skating nonprofit for birthday celebrations.
This weekend’s roller-skating party is the perfect pre-St. Patrick’s Day activity that the whole family can enjoy. It’s time to break out in your gold and green attire and get geared up for a night of 50/50 raffle drawings, red light green light games and four corners. Not only will roller skating thrill seekers be able to show off their talents, a limbo stick will be provided for those who dare to practice their limbo skills.
Items by Havasu Skates will be available to purchase such as shirts, tote bags, and frisbees. There will be a food truck there by La Baja, and music of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s provided by DJ Freeman. The St. Patrick’s Day themed skate party will be taking place on Saturday, March 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sara Park Rotary Rink.
The ultimate goal of Havasu Skates is to raise enough funds where the team can someday build an indoor roller-skating rinks for all ages.
