MOHAVE COUNTY – Crime can leave a devastating and lasting impact on the lives it touches. You can make a difference by volunteering. The Crime Victim Compensation Program is administered through the Mohave County Attorney Victim/Witness Program and provides financial assistance for out-of-pocket expenses incurred by victims of crimes. Some of the eligible expenses include medical costs, mental health counseling, funeral expenses, loss of wages, and some eligible transportation costs.
The Crime Victim Compensation Program Volunteer Board Members are responsible for reviewing police reports and determining if applicants qualify for financial assistance based on the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission Program Rules. Volunteer Board Members decide the amount of financial assistance a crime victim will receive based upon available funding, the facts of the case, and crime-related bills submitted.

It can be very rewarding to know you have helped someone who may not have any resources to cover their unexpected costs due to being a crime victim.
You must be available to attend monthly meetings, where you will vote on approving or denying claims and determine the financial assistance provided to each crime victim.
