Havasu clean up day slated

LAKE HAVASU CITY – It’s that time of year again when Lake Havasu’s summer ends and the Havasu Riviera Marine Association will sail in for their end of summer cleanup day. The Lake Havasu Marine Association (LHMA) is a nonprofit group that has a close relationship with stakeholders to support their ongoing efforts to conserve the environment.

The riviera team needs personal watercraft, boater, and kayak enthusiasts to attend but, you don’t have to own a boat to participate. Attendees will be provided with specific areas of the lake and can help clean for as long as they’d like.

Don’t forget to bring your own swimwear, water, sunscreen, and hat to ensure comfort and safety. The association will be providing participants with equipment to get to water/vegetation as well as trash bags.

Community involvement is strongly encouraged as the Havasu Marine Association makes sure that this is a fun filled day for all. Havasu residents and sponsors will be able to come together for this free annual event.

Havasu Riviera Marina’s End of Summer Cleanup will be on Saturday, October 5 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2067 Havasu Marina Parkway. Lunch will be provided by Bandit Barbecue at 12:30 p.m.

The first 100 people who sign up will receive a free t-shirt. Registration can be done by visiting Get Involved | LHMA or by calling President and CEO of Havasu Riviera Marine Association Rick Riegler at 928-351-1157.

By participating in this yearly event, it will help maintain environmental control, and keep our lake pleasant for everyone.
