KINGMAN – A familiar script is in play for a Kingman man snared in an alleged kiddie porn case:
• National monitoring agency detects illegal child pornography activity in cyberspace.
• Local local law enforcement alerted of address involved.
• Warrant based search, evidentiary seizure and arrest.
These scenarios are common in the arrests of suspects, more commonly men, engaged in the act of receiving electronically transmitted illegal images and videos of underage minors engaged in various sexual activity. And it was Henry Washington’s reality when officers paid a July 10 visit to his home in the 700 block of Country Club Dr.
“Investigators from the Kingman Police Department and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office executed the warrant and took Washington into custody,” said deputy Kingman Police Chief Joel Freed. “Numerous electronic devices were seized during the warrant service and additional charges are pending.”
Washington is initially held in the Adult Detention Center in Kingman for 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
