No injuries in apartment fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – No injuries are reported after Lake Havasu City Fire Department personnel rescued parties trapped by fire at an apartment complex. Crews responded to the May 13 incident in the 100 block of Mulberry Ave. at 2:03 p.m.

“The first arriving fire company reported a working fire with smoke and flames coming from a second story window and people trapped in a second story adjoining unit,” a news release said. “The trapped occupants on the second floor were rescued … and sustained no injury.”

More than a dozen people are displaced by the incident and The American Red Cross has been notified and is working with property management in search of temporary housing. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
