Madril sentenced for sex assault at bar

KINGMAN – Alcoholism was cited as a partial explanation but not an excuse during an April 1 sentencing hearing for a man who committed a sex offense at a Kingman bar in the 4400 block of Stockton Hill Rd. Pedro Madril, 47, previously pleaded guilty to sexual abuse for using his hand to assault a woman last Sept.

Madril, San Tan Valley, has some involvement in the law enforcement field, though his career was not specifically detailed in court.

“All my life I’ve been a very good person,” Madril told Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle. “My deepest apologies to the victim. I just feel ashamed for doing that. It just hurts my heart that I could do that to somebody.”

Judge Carlisle placed Madril on supervised probation for three years. He also ordered a 30-day jail sentence, with provisions to serve the time on work release and in another county at his own expense.
