Trio wins Kingman council seats

KINGMAN – Three candidates secured enough primary election votes to secure four-year terms on the Kingman City council. City clerk Annie Meredith said post canvas calculations result in election victories for Keith Walker (4,406), Cherish Samelli (3,595) and Jamie Scott Stehly (3,590).

Thursday canvas by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors makes August 4 election results official. Kingman voters approved the permanent base budget adjustment ballot question while rejecting another proposal to double the term of office for the position of Mayor from two to four years.

Kingman voters have another ballot question to decide in the general election November 3. The city seeks permission to sell land that is anticipated to be transferred to city control next spring for second phase industrial park economic development.

  1. The one member of the Travis and Airport coup d’tat 4, should not have been reelected. Too bad Jen did not have an opponent. Virus issue.
