Women cited after hitting two boys

A Kingman woman was cited Monday after the vehicle she was driving struck two boys crossing an intersection on scooters. Deputy Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the accident at the intersection of E. Andy Devine Avenue and Harrison Street was reported at 1:45 p.m.

Cooper said the driver was stopped at that intersection and that the boys were struck when she pulled out in front of them. He said the right front of the truck struck a 12 year-old boy who suffered a leg sprain and minor abrasions.

Cooper said it is believed that a 6-year-old boy was run over by the right rear tire after he was struck. Both boys were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center before the 6-year-old was flown to a Las Vegas hospital where he was last reported in serious but stable condition.

The unidentified 36-year-old woman was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a cross walk.
