Drugs arrests in Lake Havasu City

Summer Parkerson

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City Police report separate drug arrests the first two days of this month. Police responded at 8:20 a.m. Sunday to conduct a welfare check after it was reported a subject was passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the intersection of Pauline Drive and Honeybear Drive.

Officers found Caleb Vance, 28, slumped over in the driver’s seat of a red passenger vehicle that was running while stationery in the roadway.

“Items of drug paraphernalia were observed,” said sergeant Tom Gray. “Additionally, Vance was found to be in possession of 17 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of heroin, baggies, a scale and a loaded firearm,” Gray said.

Vance was arrested and jailed on various drug charges and a weapon offense.

Gray reports the Monday arrest of a Peoria woman who was the subject of a multi-month drug sale investigation. Police were focused on Summer Parkerson, 33, for her alleged involvement in the sale of large quantities of heroin and counterfeit pills in Lake Havasu.

Police said Parkerson’s vehicle was the subject of a 2:45 a.m. traffic stop in the 1700 block of McCulloch Blvd S. The vehicle was searched following a drug dog alert.

“Detectives located about 14 grams of heroin, 44 counterfeit pills, a Xanax pill, drug paraphernalia, a counterfeit $100 bill and other items related to fraudulent schemes,” Gray said.

Parkerson is initially charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a forged instrument.
