COVID-19 update: 21 new cases, two deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late this afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 21 new COVID-19 confirmed cases and two deaths.  Some of the cases are related to a long term care facility. Both deaths are in the Bullhead City service area.  One has not been previously reported and is a 90+ person.  The other is a previously reported 70-79 age range person.

Thirteen of the new cases are from the Bullhead City service area. One is in the 40-49 age range and case is under investigation; one is a case under investigation in the 50-59 age range; one is 90+, at home and linked to another case; 3 cases are in the 70-79 age range, recovering at home and linked to another case; and 7 cases are in the 80-89 age range, recovering at home and linked to another case.

Five cases are from the Kingman service area. One is in the 60-69 age range and is hospitalized; the four others are all recovering at home and linked to another case, three of them are 80-89 and one is 90+.  The final case is in the Lake Havasu City service area, is 40-49 and is linked to another case.

There are now 60 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including five deaths, 210 in Kingman, with a total of 24 deaths there, 9 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other”(composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,)  and 45 in Bullhead City, including two deaths.  There are now a total of 36 deaths in the county from the disease. Total positive cases, 324.
