TOPOCK – Last Tuesday, March 17, deputies were dispatched to a weapons offense that occurred in the area of County Route 1.

According to a Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, the victim advised that she and a passenger were on their way home to Topock, when a black truck came speeding up behind them. The truck passed them on the roadway and she heard a popping sound. When the victim arrived home, she observed a bullet hole in her vehicle.

Meanwhile, California Highway Patrol advised they had detained Daniel John Cady, 38 of Bullhead City. Cady was stopped due to suspected driving while intoxicated. During the stop, Cady made comments about being involved in a shooting in Arizona, and admitted to firing a weapon at the vehicle, and made several comments about someone being after him.
