KINGMAN – Friends of the Mohave County Animal Shelter will hold a Black Friday Sale and Mega Adoption Event at the shelter this Friday, November 29. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 3423 N. Burbank St. They will have pet related merchandise for sale for donation: including cat towers, aquariums, dog and cat bowls, collars, and costumes. There will be dogs and cats for adoption.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Ben Hicks Yoga studio will be offering classes this Thanksgiving weekend with the return of the 7th annual It’s All Good Yoga Festival. It was in 2009, that the owner of the studio earned certifications in the meditation discipline.
After six years of instruction, the former local of Lake Havasu moved back town to open Ben Hicks Yoga. Currently, the company remains to thrive by including additional rewarding classes such as their personal training, massage therapy, and much more.
The day after Thanksgiving, the first class will be in the early evening with a 90-minute practice that will include acoustic guitar music for the festival’s sound practices.
KINGMAN – The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin work in early December along Interstate 40 to construct a new interchange that will in turn connect with a new roadway serving the east Kingman area.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – Two Lake Havasu organizations got all geared up for the upcoming Thanksgiving season. Living Word Church hosted their annual Community Thanksgiving service while the Dementia Connection of Havasu, had a Thanksgiving gathering for the elderly.
Living Word’s Words Community Thanksgiving Service took place on Wednesday, November 20th at 6:30pm and Dementia Connection of Lake Havasu’s holiday event was on Thursday, November 21 at 10 a.m. at Mount Olive Church.
KINGMAN – A Kingman man shot by a local policeman while brandishing a shotgun 11 months ago was given an 8.5-year prison term Monday, Nov. 25.
