Rezone approved for storage unit project

KINGMAN – A self-storage project advances following rezoning approval during the May 21 Kingman City Council meeting. The 2.1-acre parcel located at the northeast quadrant of the N Bank Street and Kino Avenue intersection is being changed from Rural Residential to Commercial: Community Business.
“The applicant has indicated that the intent, if this rezone is approved, is to move forward with an application for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to build a multi-story self-storage facility,” said interim Development Services Director Mike Rodriguez.

MOHAVE VALLEY – A mid-May traffic stop in Mohave Valley netted drug seizures and the arrests of a woman and her mother. Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Detectives were working information that Amber Nowak, 31, was involved in the transportation and sale of illegal drugs in the tri-state area.

MOHAVE COUNTY – A unique eatery specializing in healthy food options has closed its doors in Kingman and will soon do the same in Bullhead City. Pro-fit Kitchin has a closure notice at the Kingman store that opened early this year at 1969 Beverly Ave and owner-chef Eric Fox said the Bullhead store in the Riverview Mall will also soon be shuttered.
