Young Eagles aviation program open

KINGMAN – Do you have a son or daughter between the ages of 8 to 17, that is interested is aviation? If so, this is the event you have been waiting for! The local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is proud to once again open its doors to our community’s children and invite them to attend this year’s young eagle program on May 18 from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Kingman Airport terminal building.

The young eagle program is open to any child ages 8 through 17. All a parent or guardian has to do is bring them down to the terminal building at the Kingman Airport between 8:30 to noon. A guardian will need to sign a release and then the fun starts. Each child who participates will go through a short ground school then get to slip the surly bonds with one of our experienced pilots!

Each participant will receive a logbook and certificate. Photos are highly encouraged and a good time will be had by all.

Best of all it’s free! This is due to EAA’s incredible sponsors which this year include Foothills Bank, Pawn World, Sutherland Law Firm and Arnel Fencing. Showing up earlier is best as the wind is usually down and it makes for a smoother ride. Anyone needing more information should contact Dave at 928-757-7742.
