Woman charged in boyfriend’s stabbing

KINGMAN – Chief Rusty Cooper said impairment is a suspected factor in a Kingman police department investigation of a domestic quarrel that ended in an early Thursday stabbing. Officers responded at about 2:30 a.m. to the incident in the 2500 block of Chambers Ave.

Cooper said police contacted Kayla Blocker, 30, who told them that she had stabbed her boyfriend during an argument.

“Officers observed blood on the floor and walls of the home,” Cooper said. “The boyfriend, who had left prior to police arrival, was not located.”

Cooper said investigation produced confirmation of Blocker’s admissions as well as indication that the victim did not suffer a life-threatening injury. Blocker was booked into the Adult Detention Center for aggravated assault and other charges.
