Wildlife nonprofit seeks volunteers

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge nonprofit is currently seeking volunteers. For over 30 years, the 6,100 acres of Lake Havasu National Wildlife has been managed as an independent refuge. Primarily because of its distinctiveness and assorted habitat.

It was named the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge. Part of more than 560 wildlife refuges, it’s a public network of water and lands for scenic viewing for all visitors. Currently, the wildlife organization is looking for resident volunteers to help with facility maintenance and assisting visitors.

This role will be available during this month all the way into April 2025. Two covered RV pads are now available with water and are accessible for 30- and 50-amp service, however, mobile service is limited.

Volunteers must be willing to follow instructions from supervisors, do at least three days of service work per week, and have a positive attitude. Volunteering for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife is enjoyable as rewarding on many levels. Participants are able to fill up their days knowing that they are conserving wildlife for generations to come, it’s also a great way to meet new friends. Anyone interested in this opportunity can email Bill Williams Procurement Officer Joseph Saccomanno at joseph_ saccomanno@fws.org.
