Two injured in motorcycle crash

KINGMAN – Two Kingman residents were seriously injured when the motorcycle they occupied was struck by a vehicle that turned in front of them. Kingman Police Chief Rusty Cooper said the motorcycle was westbound when struck in the 2800 block of Andy Devine Avenue at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday, February 22.
Cooper said the Harley Davidson motorcycle had the right-of-way when an eastbound SUV driven by an 83-year-old Kingman man turned left in front of it.
“The crash caused the motorcycle to strike the curb, ejecting both riders to the ground,” Cooper said. He said the 68-year-old male motorcycle operator and his 54-year-old passenger were first transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center before they were flown to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
Cooper said both were listed in critical condition. The SUV driver was not injured.
Charges are pending as investigation continues.
