KINGMAN – What began as a routine traffic stop in Kingman evolved into a significant drug seizure. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies reportedly observed several traffic violations in the area of milepost 59 on Interstate 40 in Kingman before conducting the traffic stop at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2.

Deputies made contact with vehicle occupants identified as Edwin Soule, 49, and Devin Wiseman, 29.

“Due to the suspicious behavior observed from the occupants, MCSO K9 `Chase’ was deployed and alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics in the vehicle,” said Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt.
“MCSO deputies found a large quantity of packaged counterfeit ‘M-30′ pills containing fentanyl concealed in the vehicle.”

Fromelt said MAGNET task force officers responded to process the crime scene and drug seizure. She said about 4,000 of the fentanyl laced pills were confiscated.

Soule and Wiseman were booked into the Adult Detention Center in Kingman for transportation of narcotic drugs for sale. Soule reportedly faces prosecution for an unrelated misdemeanor offense pending in Bullhead City Municipal Court.
