The abductions of Delfina McCanna: Part 1 of 3

Dear Editor,

Delfina McCanna was an impressionable 12-year-old girl living with her family in Chloride, AZ during the 1970s.
There wasn’t anything out of the ordinary about the McCanna family who resided in the former mining town that’s nestled in the western foothills of the Cerbat Mountains just east of Golden Valley.

She and her brother attended school in a nearby town, her mother was a stay-at-home mom, and she believes her dad worked for the U.S. government but didn’t know where or what his actual job was. She did, however, remember that when her dad normally left for work, he would be dressed in a non-descript military-styled uniform, would take a duffel bag of clothing with him and normally would be gone for days at a time.

“My dad never spoke of his work,” Delfina said, “but I did believe it was some secret government project in northern Mohave County or southern Nevada.”

It was a balmy evening during 1978, just after dark, when her family finished eating dinner and she then headed off to her room to get a good night’s sleep prior to going to school the next day.

Delfina doesn’t know what time it was when she actually went to bed or how long she had been asleep; however, she remembers briefly waking up at one point while it was still nighttime.

The one thing that was extremely confusing to her was when she woke up, she was no longer in her bed, but she was sitting in the back of a moving military 2 1/2-ton truck. In rear of the canvas-covered truck, she saw her father, mother, brother, and a few other people she didn’t recognize.

“I glanced over to where my parents and brother sat: I saw my mom, brother, and others were not moving and were staring straight forward, almost as if they were in a trance. The only one who seemed coherent was my dad and, of course, me,” Delfina said. “I was very confused because I didn’t know where they were taking us. Then as I glanced to where my dad was sitting, he said, ‘Don’t move around, sit still and don’t look at anyone.’”

Right after her dad had spoken to her, she immediately drifted back into an unconscious state. When she woke up again, this time she was no longer in the back of the military truck but in some very large cave complex.

As Delfina glanced around, she saw her parents, brother and numerous others sitting on large stone benches that been carved out of the sides of the cave. In addition, the large room, she noticed there were passageways that interconnected with the room she was in.

Except for her dad and herself, everyone else sitting in the large room seem to be in a zombie-like state of mind.

What confused her even more was there were a few military personnel in uniforms and what she believed were aliens not of this world walking in and out the room. Furthermore, she saw what she described as a different type of aliens; there were both large and small “grays” who were not wearing any clothing.

To be continued.
