Teen sex videos will bring prison time

KINGMAN – A mandatory prison plea agreement has been unveiled for a Kingman man who admits committing sex offenses involving two teenage girls. Steve Culajay, 38, is convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor in the plea deal entered before Judge Doug Camacho on Wednesday, February 27.
Deputy Mohave County Attorney Amanda Claerhout informed the Court that Culajay possessed flash drive devices containing video of the defendant having sex with different 14-year-old girls. She said both incidents occurred in Kingman, one video produced on May 14, 2021 and the other on August 27, 2023.
Claerhout said one of the victims had been placed at a foster home operated by Culajay’s mother. She said Culajay was a friend of the family of the other victim.
Terms of the agreement require the Court to impose a 10- to 39-year prison term at a March 28 sentencing hearing. Culajay will be required to engage in sex offender registration protocols upon release from prison.
