LAKE HAVASU CITY – In honor of K12 Foundation’s Teacher Appreciation Day, the nonprofit hosted a special casino themed event to give our local teachers some well-deserved recognition. This year’s annual celebration took place on Thursday, September 12 at London Bridge’s Convention Center.

For almost two decades, the nonprofit group has made it their responsibility to develop strong relationships with organizations and businesses to increase funding for school activities and projects. Over 100 teachers in Lake Havasu attended this event with instructors ranging from grade schools all the way to high school.

The honoring ceremony was a night filled with casino games, raffle drawings, and a cash bar complete with a buffet styled Mexican dinner. This was an exclusive yet private free event for our educators only. Teachers of Lake Havasu got some time to unwind, socialize, and create lasting memories.

The purpose of K12’s mission is to assist not just faculty members but students as well. The foundation has earned their way into being the number one supporter for Lake Havasu’s Unified School District.

K12 Foundation always has their doors open to bridge the gap for the needed academic funding from the state’s government.  Learn more about K12 Foundations ongoing support for teachers and students by visiting k12foundation.org.
