Early voting opens Wednesday, June 3 for Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY – Thousands of Mohave County residents can be expected to take advantage of the early voting window that opens next Wednesday, July 3. The majority of the county’s registered voters have been casting ballots early for years, as was evident in the local 2020 primary election.

“There were 41,855 (people) who voted. 32,557 of those were voters that voted early,” said Mohave County Recorder Lydia Durst.

Public invited to observe ballot tabulation equipment testing

KINGMAN – A test of the ballot tabulation equipment and programs for the July 30 Mohave County Primary Election will take place on June 27 at 9 a.m. by the Mohave County Elections Department. A separate test will also be conducted by the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office at 2:35 p.m. on that date. The location of the tests is the Mohave County Election Department, 700 W. Beale, Kingman. It will be open to the press and the public.

COVID-19 update: 17 new cases, two deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Wednesday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of seventeen new COVID-19 confirmed positive cases.  Eleven of them are in the Bullhead City service area; three are in the Kingman area; three are in the Lake Havasu City area. There are also two deaths. Some of these cases are linked to a long term care facility.
