Human remains identified near Meadview

MEADVIEW – Human remains located this week in a remote desert area near the Meadview Overlook have been connected to a more than three-year-old missing persons case. Brandon Parish, 19, was last seen in the Meadview area in Feb., 2021, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said family members reported him missing in March, 2021. Mortensen said a review of the site where the discovery occurred at about 9:43 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, has authorities believing the remains are those of Parish. Locomotive Park monthly peace vigil set

Dear Editor, Now that poor health concerns and bad weather has hopefully passed, this Wednesday, May 1, from 4-4:30, the monthly peace vigil will resume. This monthly peace vigil began two years ago in support of Ukraine and to be held one time per month at Locomotive Park on the first of each month.  Subsequent to the initiation of this vigil armed conflicts have increased particularly in the Mideast thus the vigil is in support of world peace.
