Quiltmaking retreat for beginnings held at London Bridge Resort

Photo courtesy Robin Reilly LAKE HAVASU CITY – No sewing machines were required this past weekend at Robin’s Collage Class retreat that gave beginner quilt makers a chance to let their fingers do the magic and create some unique designs.   The quilting retreat was a three-day explosion of creativity that began on Friday, April 4 and ended on Sunday, April 6 at the London Bridge Resort.  The weekend retreat was taught by Laura Heine certified instructor Robin Reilly.   Originally from Southern California, Reilly and her husband moved to Portland, Oregon in the early 1980s. The…

Vintage tea parties hosted by London Bridge Resort

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu’s London Bridge Resort has all sorts of unique ongoing events and activities scheduled to kick up for the fall season. The resort holds classes where people can make their own custom western styled hat, take a tour bus to the Oatman, or simply attend their weekly tea parties.

Resort offers two art classes each week

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu’s London Bridge Resort has all sorts of craft classes for those wanting to create their own works of art. About seven years ago the classes were launched by former Long Beach California resident Debbie Ward who retired to Havasu in 2016.  

The Former Informative Technical Engineer began attending Havasu’s ongoing paint night classes taught at Pam Reinke studio located in Havasu’s English Village. Ward enjoyed the classes so much, she applied and was recruited to teach at the resort twice a week.
