Response to J.M.’s Apple to Oranges

Dear Editor,

Hello Ms. J.M. I couldn’t help but respond to your rage against former President Trump. No one knows how a person would react to being shot at until it happens. Scary as it was our former President was able to compose himself and let the people know to continue the fight for their beliefs and country which are being censored and ignored each and every day.

Strange how after January 20, 2021 the persecution of our former President intensified beyond the false rhetoric of 2016. Be Nice?

Arizonans want limits on abortion, Prop 139 goes too far

Dear Editor,

Abortion is legal in Arizona up to 15 weeks and beyond for medical emergencies. So, Arizonans voting on Prop 139 are not choosing between abortion or no abortion; they are choosing between abortion with limits and safety precautions – or unlimited, unregulated abortion, without doctor or parental oversight.

If the abortion amendment fails to pass, abortion will continue to be legal up to nearly four months of pregnancy, and basic safety regulations will remain in place. If it passes, prepare to see commonsense regulations fall as abortion takes priority over women’s health and safety.

The pot calling the kettle black

Dear Editor,

I am the parent of six and with 12 grandkids. I will be the first to say it matters neither way if someone has children or not. It’s just not a kitchen table topic for more Americans.

But it is for J.D. Vance. He obsesses about procreating like a mother-in-law craving a grandbaby. It’s just weird. He’s been name-calling women like a bully on a playground. “Childless cat ladies,” and accusing those without children to be less capable in leadership positions.

I’ve known smart people with kids and the dumbest with kids, and it’s just dumb and small-minded to think the way J.D. does.

International Day of Peace to be observed

Dear Editor,

Weather permitting …. come join other peace-loving citizens at Locomotive Park in an awesome testimony in support of peace at the International Day of Peace observance on Saturday, September 21, from 11:30 – 2:00!  This non-partisan Kingman event features this year’s international theme which is Cultivating a Culture of Peace.  There will be a traditional bell ringing ceremony at noon, coinciding with others worldwide to create a symbolic wave of peace to coincide with the opening of the UN.

Comparing apples to oranges

Dear Editor,

Just like Donald J. Trump, my Father’s brother was clipped in the ear by a Japanese sniper during WWII. Miracles are all around us with the known and unknown, and some make good with those miracles and some don’t, and Trump didn’t. He said his brush with death made him a changed man.

He said he was going to play nice and reunite the country. But instead, he went right back to his hate rhetoric and divisiveness. Just another promise of his that hit the dust.
