Arrest made in fatal traffic crash

KINGMAN – Investigation of a traffic accident that claimed the life of a local teenager late last year has led to the arrest of a young Kingman man. Deputy Police Chief Joel Freed said Dalin Penrod, 20, was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on April 11 on a charge of causing death by moving violation. Lacey Lynn Gale, 19, Kingman, was fatally injured when her vehicle was struck by Penrod’s vehicle at about 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 13. Many pastors lament the absence of a certain demographic in church, namely people in their twenties and thirties. For a variety of reasons, this age group has largely checked-out of the local church and is likely to stay checked-out for a lifetime unless something changes.  In a recent study conducted by Lifeway Research, young adults reported at least four categories for lessened church attendance: 1. Life changes; 2. Church or pastor-related reasons; 3.  Religious, ethical, or political beliefs; 4. Student and youth ministry reasons. MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of four COVID-19 cases and one death.  The four confirmed cases are all in the Bullhead City service area.  The one death is a person in the Kingman service area, a previously reported case in the 70-79 age range.
