Jack Alexander, owner of Thunder-Rode thanks longtime resident and Kingman supporter Linda Owens and presents her with a Certificate of Appreciation for her continued support for the veterans of Kingman and Mohave County. Owens provides and makes available at no charge, seating for veterans in front of the Thunder-Rode so that veterans and their families can enjoy viewing parades in comfort. She has provided seating for the Andy Devine Days Parade, the Veterans Day Parade and other events held on Beale St. in downtown Kingman. Owens has been providing this service to the community and the honoring veterans for many years.

I could not agree more with Mr. Michael Johnson‘s piece in last week’s Standard more. I too am thankful and have thanked the City Council and have walked the street during the Beale Street rebuild to personally thank all those amazingly hard-working construction people who worked so tirelessly to get our new downtown put together.
