Human composting now legal in Arizona

MOHAVE COUNTY – There are several new laws which took effect in Arizona Saturday, September 14, and among them one stands out. Governor Katie Hobbs signed into law House Bill 2081 which is the Human Composting law. Yes, as of today it is now legal to compost the dead in Arizona. The state of Arizona has legalized a burial alternative known as NOR: Natural Organic Reduction, which is Human composting.

The process involves placing Human remains in a temperature controlled vessel with organic materials
