A recent study by biologists at the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) found that non-native, feral burros are having a negative impact on some keystone plant species in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert landscape.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – The gathering of burros occurred on August 5 with BLM successfully gathering 94 burros to ensure public safety. However, the animals are still on Highway 95, especially at night.
Lake Havasu City board members caution the community to stay alert while on the highway in the evenings. City council approved two separate code changes to expand the density limit for the various residential zones for families along with the height limit of the Southgate district.
