Operation Veteran offers fellowship for servicemembers past and present

KINGMAN – Veterans in the area have a unique opportunity to get in touch with each other spiritually. 

Operation Veteran offers camaraderie and fellowship with other servicemembers who understand the unique challenges of military life and where they can be part of a welcoming community who gathers to support one another through shared experiences, prayer, and brotherhood.

The club holds weekly meetings every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at New Life Church, Classroom 3, 419 Harrison St. (Just off Hualapai Mountain Road).

LWHS Renaissance Fair Helps the Students Shine

KINGMAN – Fairies, sword fights, Shakespeare and baked treats.

Lee Williams High School stagecraft students, with the leadership of their teacher, Paula Pickett, put on an inaugural ‘Lee Ol Renaissance Faire’ Friday.

More than 50 students, teachers, parents and other spectators set up camp in the school’s grassy common area adjacent to the cafeteria to show off months of building sets and rehearsing acts as part of a fundraiser for the drama and stagecraft classes.
