Stick Pony Derby in downtown Kingman to benefit Economic Development

KINGMAN — There will be a Stick Pony Derby on Saturday, May 3, at the Beale Celebrations Event Center in downtown Kingman. Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for nonmembers. Tokens and a dinner are included, and spirits will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the Economic Development fund in Kingman.

At the Stick Pony Derby, sponsors and entrants will create stick ponies for their jockeys while onlookers bet on their favorite ponies just like a real derby. The event will feature a Derby Hat Contest for women, as well as a Derby Dapper Sports Coat Contest for men.

The gates open at 6 p.m. The Beale Celebrations Event Center is located at 201 N. 4th St. in downtown Kingman. For more information call 928-753-6253.
