Some 43 pounds of meth seized during traffic stop near Kingman

KINGMAN – On Thursday, Nov. 21, at about 8 p.m., the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) confiscated 43 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of more than $1.9 million.

According to an Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) press release, Israel Tellez-Nava, 35, of Las Vegas, NV, was the driver and sole occupant of a traffic stop on Interstate 40 at around mp 59. Detectives observed bundles of methamphetamine in plain view during the traffic stop and arrested Tellez-Nava on scene. A further search of the vehicle resulted in three large boxes of methamphetamine.

Tellez-Nava was arrested and charged with  transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of dangerous drugs for sale.
