KINGMAN — A second trial has been scheduled for a Kingman man charged in the shooting of his uncle. Zachary Sowers, 26, is charged with attempted second degree murder for the shooting that reportedly occurred after the his uncle asked him to vacate his property in the 2800 block of East Hearne Avenue last December.

Sowers’ first trial ended in a mistrial on September 24 when a Mohave County Superior Court jury was unable to reach unanimous verdicts in the case.

Attorneys tried but failed to reach a plea agreement following the mistrial. Judge Derek Carlisle has scheduled a second trial to begin November 3.
