Search launched for next CRUHSD superintendent

BULLHEAD CITY – Applications are now being accepted for Superintendent of the Colorado River Union High School District #2 (CRUHSD).  The person will manage a District with three high schools, an events facility, 1,800 students, and more than 200 employees.

“The Governing Board wants to hear from candidates who can help us take CRUHSD to the next level,” said Board chairman Richard Cardone, M.D.  “CRUHSD is a great opportunity for a visionary superintendent to work with an energetic Governing Board.”

Applications are being accepted until the position is filled.  A salary range has not yet been determined.

CRUHSD was created in 1989, carved out of the former Mohave Union High School District.  The boundaries stretch from part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area north of Bullhead City south along the Colorado River to just north of Lake Havasu City.  Communities include Bullhead City, Ft. Mohave, Golden Shores/Topock, Havasu Heights, Katherine Heights, Mohave Valley and Oatman.

Interested candidates should send their application letters and resumes to Dr. Cardone at rcardone@crsk12.org, and copy Board secretary Terrie Mohn at tmohn@crsk12.org.  Expanded information about the District and area are posted on the District’s website, www.crsk12.org, and Facebook page, @crsk12az / Colorado River Schools.

“This has been a challenging time for all public schools,” said Dr. Cardone.  “Our new Superintendent will help the board and our community lead CRUHSD forward.”

  1. An energentic board means Dr. Richard’s ego runs everything. CRUHSD had a perfectly good superintendent in Flora but he was driven out. No superintendent is going to magically fix the Fieldhouse white elephant problem.
