Rancho Santa Fe Parkway groundbreaking scheduled for December 2

KINGMAN –The City of Kingman is pleased to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the highly anticipated Rancho Santa Fe Parkway Traffic Interchange, set for December 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. This long-awaited project represents a crucial step forward in advancing regional infrastructure and economic growth for Kingman and the surrounding area.  The groundbreaking will be taking place at the south side of the interchange.  Those coming to the ceremony can take Louise east to the end of the pavement, then turn left to reach the interchange.

“This groundbreaking is the result of years of dedication and collaboration from countless community leaders and stakeholders,” stated Mayor Ken Watkins. “The Rancho Santa Fe Parkway Interchange will enhance connectivity for our city and pave the way for new economic opportunities, making a lasting impact on our community’s future.”

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is overseeing the project’s administration.  They awarded Pulice Construction, Inc. the construction contract in September 2024, with work scheduled to begin on December 2, 2024, and an anticipated completion date in the summer of 2026.

The Rancho Santa Fe Parkway Interchange—formerly known as Rattlesnake Wash—has been identified as essential to the region’s transportation infrastructure. This project will provide a critical link between Kingman’s Municipal Airport, Industrial Park, Interstate 40, and the future I-11 business corridor, bolstering Kingman’s role as a central hub for transportation and commerce.
